The lower half of Nine Mile offer some excellent recreational paddling opportunities of varying skill requirements, for both canoeists and kayakers. The most upstream location you can put in is on the downstream side of the old M&OL railroad bridge on the Gorge road (Route 174) at the intersection of Forward road, but this will require a lot of getting out of the boat to get around blockages. Better is to to put in at Munro Park, off 1st street in the Village of Camillus.
